Some of the ingredients in commercial dog shampoo can cause itching, flakiness, and general discomfort when applied to a dog's very sensitive skin. Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), for example, is a common ingredient in commercial dog shampoo. It is a petroleum product that is damaging to your dog's skin. Two common detergents, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)have been linked to eye damage, diarrhea, and severe skin problems.

Skin P.H. is a tricky thing. Certain dogs are naturally more acidic than others. Any soap too low in P.H. levels (that means too acidic) can cause skin irritation. We formulate our Dog Shampoo to be Neutral, with a P.H. of 7.

Made from Pure Olive Oil, Castile Soap is an all natural, vegetable based soap. Very gentle and moisturizing for your Pup.
Vegetable Glycerin helps to keep your dog's coat and skin moisturized while the soap does it's job. The glycerin helps prevent stripping of oil from your dog's fur, and replaces natural oils if necessary. This leaves your dog's coat clean, soft, and shiny.
